MINUTES
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Committee Chair, Al Stachura called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm
Committee members present were: Al Stachura, Mary Steffen, Dan McQuillan, Jackie Arndt, & Sheri Worth.
Staff present were: Steve Dunks, Zoning Administrator & Graham Callis, Community Development Director.
APPROVE AGENDA
Motion by Steffen to approve the agenda as presented, seconded by Arndt, motion carried 5-0
ELECTION OF COMMITTEE OFFICERS
a. Committee Chair
Nomination of Mary Steffen for Committee Chair by Worth, second by Arndt, motion carried 4-0 with one abstention
b. Committee Vice-Chair
Nomination of Dan McQuillan for Committee Vice-chair by Steffen, second by Worth, motion carried 4-0 with one abstention
c. Committee Secretary
Nomination of Steve Dunks for Committee Secretary by McQuillan, second by Worth, motion carried 5-0
Meeting turned over to new Committee Chair Steffen
REVIEW OF OPERATING POLICY
Committee reviewed operating policy and committee binders
APPROVE MINUTES FROM: April 9, 2008
Motion by Stachura to approve the minutes as presented, second by Arndt, motion carried 5-0
PUBLIC FORUM (non-agenda items): Anything, which may be brought before the Design Review Committee, for which no referral shall be made or action shall be taken.

ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION AND ACTION:
d. Town center overlay plan, generally located east & west of US HWY 41 and north & south of CTY HWY B.
Motion by Stachura to recommend approval, second by Worth, motion carried 5-0
e. Sign review for PMG Construction Management on parcel SU-796-2 (Rocket Dog Shell) located on the northeast corner of Lineville Road & Deerfield Avenue East.
Motion by McQuillan to approve as presented, but to hold the permit until previous approvals have been met, second by Stachura, motion carried 5-0
f. Accessory building review for S.S. Edward & Isidore Church, 3667 Flintville Road, parcel SU-354. Located on the west side of Flintville Road 4/10 of a mile south of School Lane.
Motion by Worth to approve as presented, second by Arndt, motion carried 5-0
g. Sign review for Bay Harbor Elementary School, located on the northeast corner of Harbor Lights Road and Birch Road. – Bryan Boettcher, Quick Signs present for the School
Motion by Stachura to approve with low level landscape and no lighting from 10 pm to 6 am, second by McQuillan, motion carried 5-0
h. Building, site, landscape, lighting & sign review for Tiny Town Daycare to be located on the southeast corner of Harbor Lights Road & East Deerfield Avenue.- Troy & Carolee Lasecki present for Tiny Town, Larry Robenhorst & Mitch Stoychoff, adjacent property owners
Motion by Stachura to approve with the following conditions:
Add brick to front of building to meet the 50% requirement
Trash enclosure to be brick or vinyl
Solid privacy fence 8ft high on eastern, rear lot; 6 ft high on northern side; 4 ft high on western, front & southern side.
Paint HVAC units to match roof
Landscape under & around sign
Building lighting as presented
Parking lot lighting needs approval at a later date
Approval of the stormwater plan by Village Engineer
Second by McQuillan, motion carried 5-0
