Meeting called to order by Chairman Drewery at 4:00pm.

Dan Drewery, Greg Steenbock, Robert Byrne, and Mike Sheedy were present. Steve Dunks, Tim Krause, and Jim Kowalkowski from the village staff attended the meeting.

The agenda was read. A motion was made by Greg Steenbock seconded by Mike Sheedy to approve the agenda as read. Motion passed unanimously.

The minutes from the December 11, 2007 meeting were read. A motion was made by Mike Sheedy seconded by Robert Byrne to accept the minutes as read. Motion passed unanimously.

Margaret and Charles Gustafson, Gloria Naser, and Lola Klescewski all spoke about their concerns regarding the renaming of the private drive off of Golden Bell Drive.

None.

The committee discussed the three proposed locations for streetlights. All were critiqued using standard criteria from past requests and held further discussion. Greg Steenbock made a motion recommending to the Village Board that streetlights be approved on Coach at Velp Avenue, and on Ives at Velp Avenue, and that a new high-visibility reflective street sign be installed on Breezewood at White Pine. Mike Sheedy seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

The committee discussed the safety concerns of the private drive off Golden Bell and addressed the concerns of residents at the meeting. It was agreed that a new name should be given to this private drive to eliminate confusion for responding emergency personnel. Greg Steenbock made a motion that current residents be given 15 days to produce recommendations for the re-naming of this private drive. Mike Sheedy seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

The committee discussed safety concerns for the operation of snowmobiles on a snowmobile route through a school zone. Dan Drewery made a motion recommending to the Village Board that the existing snowmobile route be removed in its entirety on Harbor Lights as long as there is no conflict in signage. Greg Steenbock seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

The committee set March 4, 2008 at 4:00pm as the next meeting date and time.
